you taught me how to be alone
when mirrors turn reflections into bits
of selfhood dissipated into space,
and memories rush through the haze
of otherness crystallising into faith,
a flight toward belief
entrenched to catch
those melodies in slow formation
of regained trust,
to being just a blank beginning,
a mind in movement
crossing toward a closed horizon
that ends where zenith meets the gaze,
one day when promises no longer hurt to turn
backwards into a silence broken down by hope,
that spoke to no one but that wondering remorse
of will shattered back into itself.
